Dr. Yugan was the Director of the Intensive Care Unit at Westmead Hospital for about 20 years. He is currently Clinical Associate Professor, Faculty of Medicine, University of Sydney, and Emeritus Consultant in Critical Care in the Intensive Care Units of Westmead Private and Public Hospitals, Westmead, Sydney. He graduated from the Nelson R Mandela School of Medicine, University of Kwa Zulu Natal, Durban, Republic of South Africa.
Dr. Yugan was trained in Adelaide in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care Medicine, and was the Doverdale Fellow in the Royal Brompton Hospital, Heart – Lung Dept of Anaesthesia and Intensive Care, London UK. He is a Fellow of The College of Physicians of South Africa (FCP SA), Fellow of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (FANZCA), Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP), Fellow of the Australasian College of Intensive Care Medicine (FCICM), Associate Fellow of the Australian College of Physical Scientists of Engineering in Medicine (ACPSEM) and the conjoint Associate of the Australian (AIP) and UK Institutes (AOP) of Physics.
During his career so far, he has worked in 14 Intensive Care Units across three Continents and has more than 30 years of experience in Intensive Care Medicine.
In his role at Lorgan, as an Advisor – Healthcare & Self-monitoring, IoT and AI based Medical Devices research and commercialisation, Dr. Yugan will work closely with Mr. Srikanth Markonda (CEO), and Lorgan’s executive management team, to research and commercialise various solutions using Lorgan’s Enigma platform in the areas of self-monitoring of individuals’ health, to prevent and detect potential critical illnesses by on-boarding Enigma empowered smart devices to monitor the condition of Heart, Lungs, Central Blood Pressure, Oxygen Levels, etc. in individuals.
